getting there... slowly

how can i link the website and app together???

been thinking about what tammy said that how can people link the app and the website together???
WEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLL... I dunno right now some ideas...

they can register online to recieve notifications to their phones about what is "hot" and stuff which will then have a little reminder that says "why not download our free app!?" or something like that!? and if they already have got the app then they can save things to the website so they can save things on their iphone which will allow them to go online and view them in a bigger scale etc. and they can get gifts etc! for example "winners can download the latest pattern to create a gorgeous summer dress online now" or something like that?!

new names brainstorming!!!

After much thought I have realised that "ensemble" isnt really correct for my target audience/ application- I want it to really link well with it. some ideas... still not sure though!

name idea

After walking with tammy about my logo and ideas, I realised that as much as I love "ensemble" that maybe it is because I am attatched to it because it looks good haha. But I think that it doesn't match with my concept and also it doesnt really look too good- it would look better if it was two separate words having a link- gonna find something good!!!! Also I think ensemble is for more of an older audience- someone more proffessional and etc...

"ensemble" logo experiments

After the font experiments I have been looking at ways to type the name "ensemble" into illustrator. Playing around with layering, overlapping, spacing to see any effects.

After noticing the little detail with the overlap on the "E" and the "M" I decided to experiment with it further, Jamie showed me a tool on illustrator that allows me to crop and change and edit the lettering as if it is an illustration, so I can change the anchor points etc...

here is the overlap in close up...
here you can see where i have edited it, i really wanted the two letters to link, and be really fluid. I think it looks great, I'm really happy also as it looks great small and large! The fluidity also links in with the way iPhones work, how smooth and flowing the animation of them are etc, this will have alot of influence on my animation and shapes I use. I really love it!

Layouts

Different ways of laying out the application.

The webpage will contain similar elements, however I have noticed that there are a lot of problems when trying to access webpages on the iPhone, some aren't compatible etc and this causes problems when trying to look at the page. These layouts are specifically designed to be compatable with the iPhone.
